Description:
Pieces of leaf blades and petioles of various shapes. Color from light green to brownish-green with brown, white, yellowish-white, and rare purple specks. Faint odor. The taste of the aqueous extract is slightly bitter. Contains mucus, tannins, flavonoids, ascorbic acid, carotene, and other biologically active substances.
Composition:
Plantain leaves.
Indications for use:
Used as an expectorant in complex therapy for respiratory diseases (bronchitis, tracheitis).
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to plantain preparations, hypersecretion of gastric juice, hyperacid gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers during exacerbation.
Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding:
Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus and child. Consultation with a doctor is necessary.
