Description:

Ground raw material. Pieces of stems, often longitudinally split leaves, inflorescences, as well as individual flowers and seeds. The color is greenish-purple with white, brown, brownish-purple, whitish-green, and pink flecks. The aroma is aromatic. The taste of the aqueous extract is bitter-spicy. Oregano herb contains essential oil (including thymol, carvacrol, etc.), tannins, flavonoids, organic acids, macro- and microelements, and other biologically active substances.

Indications:

It has expectorant, choleretic, diuretic, and sedative effects. It enhances intestinal peristalsis and increases gastric juice secretion, and has moderate antimicrobial properties.
