The board game "Machi Koro" is a game for 2-5 players who want to immerse themselves in cozy Japan. You take on the role of the mayor of a small but ambitious town. As a mayor who loves his city, you want it to prosper and develop. Build snack bars and airports, decorate the streets with gardens and attractions, and the result will not take long to come. But do not forget that nearby towns are also not standing still, and you will have to enter into a serious struggle for the right to proclaim your city the best!
How to play?
Each player receives 6 starting cards, two of which are regular buildings, and four are landmarks that still need to be built, as well as 3 coins. The cards are laid out in front of the players. This is your small town. Gradually, you will build it up with new buildings and develop it. The players' turn is divided into two phases:
- Income phase, where 1 or 2 dice are rolled and players receive income based on the results of the roll. Income depends on the buildings in your city, which indicate the number at which the card's effect is triggered, and the effect of the building itself
- The Construction Phase, where players decide whether to build an enterprise/landmark or not. If you decide to build, you choose a building from the reserve and pay the cost of the construction to the bank. If you want to build a landmark, you pay its cost to the bank and turn the card over in front of you. If you decide not to build this turn, you pass the turn to the next player.
Who won?
To find out who has proven to be the best mayor, you need to inspect the city. The player who first builds four landmarks in his city is declared the winner.
